Use of Web 2.0

YouTube- YouTube is a big basis for artists, new music videos a chance for fans to see what their artists is doing with Vevo. YouTube has quickly become the place where you can search any artist and find music or a music video for the artist.

There are various channels which contain the artists songs and music videos, some artists create their own channels and share their songs etc..
Channels such as SBtv, Link-up Tv, GRM daily, these are some of the channels that help promote the artists and their new track

These are three main channels which share the genre we based our video around. They all have their own website which all contain various posts of the artists relevant to our genre. These sites also consists of blogs and posts of recent activities and various things which keep fans up to date, also various things also are on these sites, such as rumor's or little snippets into what an artist could be doing. One other site which i haven't mentioned is BBC radio, they branch off into different channels and the main one that would link in with our genre is Radio 1xtra, which focuses on urban charts and various genres of music. They also consist of 'fire in the booth' which is a freestyle session for artists, and artists of the genre we have focused on have been involved and apart of fire in the booth.

a music streaming site is also very popular https://soundcloud.com this site mainly shares mixtapes
so any mixtapes produced by the artists usually are posted on soundcloud

The web has had a massive impact on these artists Google being a big part of it,
or web 2.0 and social media.
You can search any artist and could find their fan page, their website(if they have one) a youtube page and links to their music.
Artists are very heavily linked in with social media and use it to reach out and keep their fans updated.
The use of Twitter and facebook are also key, most of their upcoming events are on these websites and make it
ac-knowledgeable for their fans to know when and where they are performing.
